皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
Today I went to Arashiyama. I was there once when I was new in Kyoto, and by chance discovered the Daihikaku Senkoji Temple there. Back then, I said that I would like to come back here when it is autumn to see how the leaves of the trees change color. 🍁
The way to the temple is quite exhausting, as it mainly goes uphill. However, it is possible to take a break on the Katsura-River and to spend some time at the water. You can even do a boat tour on this river, which I plan to do at my next visit there.
When I arrived at the temple, I enjoyed the view and read a little. However, one can also look at various photo albums in which pictures of the temple in the different seasons can be found. Another interesting thing: In a notebook for guests you can leave in small texts and messages. It's great to read what others think about this place. What stands out: Most people call this place one of the most peaceful ones they have ever seen. I can only agree with this statement!
When I wanted to go back, I met Romy from Israel. We started to talk and found out that her hotel was close to my apartment. We decided to meet again in the evening to have some wine and to continue our conversation. It was a very nice evening and she gave me some tips and materials to learn Japanese. That was really helpful!
However, Romy was not the only person I met that day. As we made our way back from the temple together, we met Sarah. I started to talk a bit to her and it turned out that she is from Austria, has birthday on the same day as me and plans to go to a pug cafe. Since I also had planned to do that someday, I spontaneously decided to accompany her. It's much more fun when you are together anyway! 🙈
I have to say that I was a bit nervous at the beginning because I don't have much experience with dogs. However, the more time we spent there, the more relaxed I became. And the dogs were super cute! But you didn't really got the chance to eat and drink something. When you had anything in your hand, the dogs would come right away. But there are also some hedgehog cafes here in Kyoto. I think those are more quiet, which is why I would like to visit one too. I'll tell you about it when I have done so. 😉
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time. 💕
