皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
My interest in Japan started with anime. It is not difficult to find them on the Internet or television. However, when I wanted to find out about series and music, it took a little longer to find something that I liked. If you feel the same way, I want to give you a few recommendations today. 😉
Lets start with the series. The best source for this is Netflix. Since I am in Japan, I am likely to get a wider range of Japanese things here than anywhere else, but I think you will find what you are looking for in other countries as well. My first series: GoodMorning Call. If you like romantic and funny teen series, this is the right thing for you. I watched the first season, and the good thing is: there's a second one! 🎉i I will watch that as well, because the main characters are really cute! 🙈
But I also have something to offer for inquisitive people who would like to learn more about Japan, its culture and customs: Japanese Style Originator. This show is about tofu, tempura, kimonos and more. Have a look if you want to learn interesting facts.
However, if you prefer more action, you should take a look at “Signal”. This is about murder cases and other crimes. There is also a bit of fiction because the police officer Kento Saegusa finds a walkie-talkie which connects him with a police officer from the past. But see for yourself what this discovery entails.
This series is not only available on Netflix, but can also be found on the website Viki. If you don't know about that, I will tell you what it is, because this page has a lot to offer. Not only can you watch Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese series and movies here, but you can even help translate them. I started doing this about two years ago and it's really fun! There are different teams, for different languages. That is why many offers have not only been translated into English but also many other languages. You don't get any money for translating since it's a voluntary thing, but you still have some advantages. During the translation you collect points through which you can level up. As soon as you have done the first level, you get the Viki-Standard pass. With that, you can watch all the dramas and do not have to wait until the new episodes are released. Without the Viki standard pass, not all dramas are available and you often have to wait a long time for further episodes to be released. So this page is a little tip from me. The Japanese offer is not that big, but the Korean one is even bigger. There are some treasures here, so it's worth taking a look around. Now let's move on to the music. It took me a while to get used to Japanese music, but I've now discovered some treasures. Here is a small list:
New – The Winking Owl
Shin Takara Jima – Sakanaction
Hello Fixer – 10Feet
I am me – BiSH
Hakujitsu – King Gnu
Yamaarashi – Yamaarashi
Happiness – Arashi
Kataomoi – Aimer
Lemon – Kenshi Yonezu
Liar – Halo
Mainichi – Neetyan
Perhaps this will give you a good introduction to the Japanese music world or inspiration for further discoveries. If you have a few recommendations as well: feel free to tell me! I am always looking for something new. I also have a few more tips for you in the future, so:
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time! 💕
