皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
A few days ago I met Kabya Kaushik. He is from India and currently studying here in Kyoto. We started to talk a bit and I told him that I would like to have a language exchange partner. It would be convenient to have someone who wants to learn German and who can teach me Japanese so that we could learn together.
Since he knows where to find language-exchange-partners at the university, we agreed to go to the main campus together so he could show me around. That's what we've done today and OMG is the campus big! 😮
After a tour at the campus and in the museum about the history of the university, we went to the "language-exchange-board". There you can leave your contact details and say which languages you speak and which one you would like to learn so that people who are interested in meeting you can write you a message. I left a note there as well and I also found two people who would like to learn German and speak Japanese. I wrote a message to both of them and I am curious if they will contact me back. 🙈
After that our tour was over and I went to the next stop for this day: the philosopher's path (哲学 の 道 / Tetsugaku no Michi).
The path is named like that because of the philosopher Nishida Kitaro. He was a professor at the Kyoto University and often went there for meditation.
This path is especially popular during the cherry blossom. But also in autumn, you can enjoy the nature and the red color of the trees there. And I think the advantage of going this way at this time of the year is that it is not so crowded and more quiet.
I enjoyed my walk there so that I will probably go there more often and I will also drop by when it is time for the cherry blossoms. 🌸
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time. 💕
