皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
Today I visited the campus of the University of Art and Design together with my colleague Tomoko. But currently, it looks more like a museum than a campus. The reason for this is that there is an exhibition of art and design graduates from 2019 from February 8th to February 16th. 🎓
The campus is really big and just as big is the variety of artworks that can be found there. From oil paintings to mangas, Japanese painting, product design and architecture to films, everything is represented there. 🙈
The works of the students who studied at Kyoto University for Art and Design are so varied that it is not possible to see everything in one day. Here are a few examples:
We spent six hours on campus today and could only see half of the artworks since the exhibition closes at 6 PM. Admission is free, though, so if I make it in time, I'll have another look to see the rest of it because it's really interesting!
I was particularly interested in the manga and animation department. As the title suggests, there were mangas, but also animated games, anime-osts or designed merchandise.
I also discovered this:
Next to the pictures there was a request that a photo of the pictures should be taken with flash. Said and done. The result:
It was definitely surprising! The works, which besides these will also remain in my memory, come from Suzuka Tsujikawa. You can see them here:
I think this type of exhibition is really cool and if you are in Kyoto or should come here in the future, you should definitely see it. It is held every February and there is a lot to discover, so you should not miss it!
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time! 💕
