皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
Today I went to Kobe. I was amazed by how well I got my along at the station and how fast the train journey went by. After 1 1/2 hours, I arrived at my final destination: the Hostel Nakamura in Kobe. 🎉
After I left my things there, my first stop was Chinatown (Nankin-Machi) to get myself some food. I ate a Peking Duck wrap stuffed with radish, cucumber and of course Peking Duck, and Goma Dango. These are fried sesame balls, which are made from rice flour and filled with anko, a red bean paste. It was really tasty! 😋
With a filled stomach, I went on to the harbor. Since I grew up in Rostock at the sea, I missed it a bit and could not wait to finally be back at the water. 🙈
The harbor offers various ways to spend your time. I decided to go to the Meriken Park which has an "Earthquake Memorial Park", a memorial to the huge earthquake in 1995, and where you can find the famous "BE KOBE"-Sign.
At the Kobe-Habourland, an entertainment district, are various shopping opportunities and museums, and during a ride on the Ferris Wheel, you can get an overview of the city and enjoy the view at the sea. 🎡
Back at the hostel, I spent some time in the common room. There is a kitchen, a counter offering a variety of recommendations, from food over sightseeing to shopping, a television area and a reading corner.
Although there are other guests in the hostel, I had the room for myself and generally, you rarely meet other people here. Even if there are only common sleeping-rooms as well, I have not seen anyone else in my room, because everyone has their bed in a sort of capsule. So you have the opportunity to retire in your own, very small "room", so others and you are not disturbed while sleeping.
But I hope to meet some other guests of the hostel tomorrow, as there is a nice roof terrace which is perfect for eating pizza and drinking beer. 🍕🍻
I'll let you know if I've found someone who wants to eat pizza tomorrow. 😉
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time. 💕
