皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
"We - that's Anna Silberstein, Ramona Seyfarth, Bernard Misgaijski, Sebastian Maiwind, Enrico Pense and me, Kerstin Borchardt - say thank you. Thank you very much for letting us stay here in Kyoto for the last 14 days. It is still a great honor for us to be able to give the colors to the rainbow of this year's "Art Rainbow Project 2019." It is always exciting for anyone to travel, and flying around half of the world makes it unique and leaves traces - inner, intangible traces - as unbelievable and iridescent as a rainbow, but we would not be artists if we did not try to grasp, understand and visualize the incomprehensible, the invisible to ourselves and others. It is always about communication on a universal level with a universal language, with the language of art, which is the curious, open-minded people allows you to tread the rainbow. The last two weeks were full of events. Starting with a day of sightseeing through Kyoto, over intensive working hours, to small celebrations, everything was included.
The participating artists were a colorful group, but still seemed to work together with harmony and have always helped each other. The time during the project was sometimes very exhausting, but it was fun to be there and it was a great experience. Together, we mastered the project well and the results are impressive.
While the artists worked here, it was nice to see how they got to interact with the visitors of the Open Studio. That's exactly what this project is about. It's not just about creating art, it's about bringing people together and communicating with each other.
At the end of these two weeks, some of the visitors, former and this year's participants of the Art Rainbow project, reunited to celebrate the opening of the "Fertility Rainbow" exhibition. It was a great evening with nice guests, good mood, delicious food and a lot to drink.

The exhibition will then be shown here in Kyoto for a week and the works will be exhibited again in Maizuru next year. Who knows, maybe one or two of the artists will drop by in person. I will definitely be there. 😉
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time. 💕
