皆さん, こんにちは! Minasan, konnichiwa! Hello everyone! 🌸
After spending the whole morning at home, I got a surprising message from the one who showed me the university yesterday, Kaushik.
He wrote about an "International Entrepreneurship Club" at the university, which will have a meeting today and asked if I would like to come. Spontaneously I agreed and as the meeting started soon, I had to hurry to get there in time. 🏃
To be honest, I did not know what that meeting was about, but since Kaushik wrote that they will be international and Japanese students as well, I thought, should I take the chance, to meet some new people.
And it was a good idea to go there! At first, I was afraid that it might be a problem that I am not a student, but that fear was unfounded because I was welcomed there. 🙈
At first, a few presentations about job-hunting for foreign students were held.
For example, Yokohama Dai talked about the company "No Limit". This company helps foreign students to find a job. They are working with companies that have hired international employees.
The information provided there will not help me right now, but who knows: maybe they will be useful in the future.
The club is also a place where projects that students are working on are presented. This offers the opportunity to inform about their work or to find support.
Today Snur Hamid introduced the hackathon. 💻
A hackathon is a software and hardware development event and the goal is to work together to develop technology-based solutions to problems and challenges, such as education or the environment, throughout the event. Now Snur is organizing a hackathon in Kyoto. A Venue, which can be used by 100 participants for 3 days is already organized and she also has some sponsors insight.
Depending on when the event takes place, I intend to help as a volunteer. I think that it will be an interesting time! 🙈
After the presentations, we had a few snacks while talking to each other.
It's always great to meet new people and to find out what brought them to Japan and how their time here is. I had a great time at the meeting and I will probably also go to the meetings of the Entrepreneurship Club in the future to get to know new projects, ideas and people.
次回まで! Jikai made! See you next time. 💕
